New Rice 新米

After threshing, the rice was taken to the nearby “rice center” for more drying and hulling. Then, the rice came back to us as brown rice. We took a bag of rice to a rice polisher for polishing the rice, and then, finally, we cooked and ate the rice for the first time!

脱穀後、お米は近くのライスセンターに運び、乾燥と籾摺りをしてもらいます。籾摺りの終わったお米は玄米の状態で戻ってきます。それを精米機で精米して、昨日の夜ついに食べてみました!

It tasted soooo good!!! Before our rice was harvested, we ran out of rice and bought a bag of locally produced new rice. I thought the store-bought rice tasted pretty good, but our rice tastes so much better!!! I’m happy to be able to enjoy this rice every day!!!

ものすごくおいしかったです!実は我が家、米農家なのに新米ができる前にお米がなくなってしまい、お店で新米を買ってきて食べていたんです。それも結構おいしいと思っていたのだけれど、うちの新米を食べてみたら、全然味が違う!!!これから毎日おいしいお米を食べられるの、嬉しい✨
