Black Swamp Art Festival

Last weekend was the first time for me to participate in the Wood County Invitational part of the Black Swamp Art Festival. Thank you very much to everyone, both those I already knew and those I met for the first time, for stopping in and saying hi. It was an enjoyable weekend, and hopefully I will be able to participate in the festival again next year.

The good weather this year was probably one of the reasons for my fond feelings, but more than anything, it was the people. To me, the crowd and the atmosphere are what make or break an event, and I really enjoy being at events where the people have a true interest in the arts. It leads to many great conversations, and the time just flies by.

Thanks again to all the sponsors, volunteers and visitors for making it a memorable event.

It also marked the end of my time in the US for now. I am now back in Japan and trying to catch up with all the work that has piled up. In addition to that, I left almost all of my work in the US, so I will be spending the next months in the workshop making a number of new things for finishing during the winter. I have some new ideas in my head of things I want to try, and my goal this time is to better stay up to date with the blog and include posts on what I am doing and how it is done.
